It is hard to believe the Holiday Season is already upon us. This fall we have enjoyed planning many fun activities, playing flag-football when it wasn’t raining, creating crafts and getting our homework done.
Thank you for choosing Kid Central for your child’s before and after-school childcare needs.
We are excited about a new addition to our staff, fun all-day events during the days when school’s closed.
We are especially proud of the wonderful Christmas cards created by our children for servicemen and women who are separated from their families all across the world. The kids created the cards during all-day daycare on Nov. 8th.
On the same day the children learned about Veteran’s Day. Children had the opportunity to try on military helmets and equipment provided by Sports and Marketing Coordinator Marshall Conner.
This fall Kid Central also sent out a parent survey to help us better serve your child’s before and after school needs.
We are looking forward to a great 2012! We strive to provide a program based on fun, education, safety and creativity!
This fall we united against bullying, met firefighters, learned about Veteran’s Day, played flag football, played Minute to Win It, created Halloween crafts and took special field trips.

Meet The Kid Central Team Leaders:

The team leader is responsible for the safety, social development and daily activities of daycare children.
“I love working with kids,” said Booker, now in her seventh year of employment with Kid Central. “I want them to know that they can do anything they set their minds to do in life. The sky is the limit.”
Booker is very active in the community and within her church. She is a minister at Kingdom of God Deliverance Ministries. Booker is also a graduate of Culpeper High School and she’s attended two years of college.
In her free time, Booker enjoys being active in her community, church and “just spending time with her kids.”
“In the future I hope to continue my education by taking additional college courses,” said Booker.
Shannon Sickler, Assistant Team Leader at Sycamore Elementary School
Shannon Sickler, 31, is a life-long resident of Culpeper County and he is excited to be establishing his own family here.
In previous years he’s been a team leader for Pearl Sample and Farmington Elementary School’s daycare program.
“I take great pride in the fact that all our kids at our daycare are in a safe environment. I want them to have a place where they can have the proper tools to have fun, do their homework , interact socially and grow in a positive environment,” said Sickler.
Over the course of his 13-year career with Kid Central Sickler has been a favorite with the kids due to his fun nature and willingness to play or participate in sports with the kids.
Sickler’s best advice for kids is: “Don’t just hear, but listen. You never know what you may miss if you are not paying attention. Listen to the positive adults around you---most of them are speaking from experience. Also, always use you common sense when making a decision.”
